Building the bench with a youth-driven, youth-led campaign.
Following the Primary Election on March 3rd we will be launching a thirty-four week professionally staffed and youth-led campaign to get tens of thousands of new young Democrats to the polls. In coordination with the Dallas County Democratic Party and the campaigns of our nominees, we are targeting more than one hundred thousand young people across every neighborhood, city, and district of our county who've not been engaged by our party's campaigns before now, but in whose hands are held the future of our party and of our democracy.
As we target these young voters, it is young organizers who will lead the way. Our campaign, led by Campaign Manager Valor McKinney and Deputy Campaign Manager Julian Brown-Griffin, will be built around a thirty-four week Campaign Internship Program. Our paid interns will grow the campaign with us, learning and executing our plans in every aspect of electioneering from communications and fundraising to field work and volunteer management. They will form the first class of a network of DCYD Campaign Alumni with ongoing mentorship and support to grow the next generation of party activists, staff, and candidates for office.
This commitment represents the largest sustained peer-to-peer outreach in our party's history, and will fundamentally expand the number of young voters participating in Dallas County elections through 2020 and beyond. We'll need the help of every member and friend to see this through and make sure our fellow young voters know that their participation matters to us, so follow the links below to support our campaign today.
